back to blogging DAY 2!

good MORNING bloggies!
happy day! happy tuesday!
on my drive in to work
i was just
thinking about my life. pondering.
(i do this a lot)
i always question if i am where i should be or where i need to be.
i often find myself wondering about the
what ifs......
i read somewhere when upon awakening, you should thank GOD for
ALL
of
the
things
we do have at the present moment.
even
the
teeniest
tiny
little
things,
that
so
many
of us
take
for granted.

our warm bed.
our cars we drive.
our jobs.
our homes we live in.
our families.
yes, our kids that sometimes drive us CRAZY!

so today, i drove and i thought...and thanked.

ok, if you are still reading....i am leading up to something here
todays back to blogging post:

"a post you wish more people had read"

hhhmmmm.....
well, i havent been blogging that long.
however.........
there is a very
special
post
about a very special person
who
meant the
world to so many.

take a look at my post from
3/16/10.

a very close peer, friend, fellow police officer of jp's was killed in the line of duty on
3/15/10....

it was by far one of  the roughest weeks of my entire life.

after this happened, it really made me start to
reanalyze life.
i
wanted to try to tell people how
important it is to make sure
those you love, know it.

dont go to bed mad.
dont leave the house mad or upset.

you
never
ever
know
when
you
will
see
that
person
AGAIN.

living with a police officer, i have learned to let the small things go. i cant go to work and
worry that he is out arresting drug criminals and at any second he could get hurt.
you learn to deal with the present. i dont have anxiety anymore....(that took a while)....
when he leaves for work it's like anyone else going to work.
it's
his
job.

unfortunately,
police officers do not get enough credit.
many people dont know what goes on behind the 'scenes' if you will.....

i
just want
people to be aware of
how precious life really is.

when officer kerstetter was shot and killed, my first thought was 'i wonder how his wife and girls are
doing'....i wonder 'if they got to say they loved him one last time'......

so with that being said.....go hug your lovies....tell them you love them!
life is too short.

ok, sorry~i got a little long winded. i wish that the world could have known officer kerstetter and seen
what  a difference one man could make in a community.

for this reason, i wish more people would have read that post from
3/16/10.

if one person felt touched or felt impelled to go hug their kids, hubbys, boyfriends, mother, sister, etc...
then
i
know
i
did
a
bit
of
good!

heres a little pic of that crazy boy of mine with his class from his academy. this was taken before the funeral.

arent they a handsome bunch?!?

oh HOW i  DO love a man in a uniform!

thanks to everyone who has popped over from blog frog AND the SITS GIRLS

it means the world to me.
i
am
thankful
for
ALL
of
you!

i couldn't agree with you more. you have to remember that no matter what line of or you or your loved ones are in, there is always the chance that today is your last day together. no regrets.
