i actually worked from home today.

nice.

it was snowing and freezing, so imagine how nice to not have to go outside in that mess.

i finally just showered and straightened this mop. i have been in jammie mode all

soooo, DAY 1. lol...lol....lol....

well, technically i am single.

i have no rings on my fingers.

i have no piece of paper showing a wedded commitment.

however, many of you learned that i packed ALL....my crap up last month

out.

however, in the last few weeks, the 'boy' who i commonly referred to as

the

'hubs' because we basically lived in sin (sorry, god....it is 2011)...for 5+yrs.

ugh.

what a mess.

but fastforward to the present day, like this very second and here i sit at our

1. hope in a jar. seriously. love this. living in the midwest, your skin

screams for serious attention.....especially in the

winter!

2. mac lipgloss. specifically lusterlipglass.best ever. it's sticky, a little sweet and lasts a long time.

what more could a gal want?

3. yankee candles. my choice of scent changes with the seasons, but i love them.

4. this popcorn. oooohhhhh emmmmm geeeeeee.

do you love sweet & salty mix? i {{{heart}}} that combo.

campbells dichotomy popcorn. heaven in a bag, i say. 

 you will never eat another kind again. pinkie promise.

5. sebastian drench shampoo & conditioner. looooovvvveee it!

my sweet hair girl uses this on me after my highlights and it feels, fresh, full and smells great!

of course i have tons more lovely favs....but these made the top 5 today.....

let me say, that i have not been alone in a long time, so i am

anyway, the one cable dude, smelled like rotten stale cigarettes and alcohol.

clearly remants of his drunken stupor the night before.

excuse me cable dude, while i go throw up in my bathroom.

he went on to ask or state that i must be getting married SOON...

um, yeah, mr. alcohol smelling dude. yes. i am. (yeah i tell fibs sometimes)

then he proceeded to tell me that the customer is always right and if i

need him to do anything like cook me breakfast, he can 'hook' me up.

??????

i replied, very politely, (refer to sentence above about fear of him coming back

to kill me)...... uh, no thank you, mr. stinky alcohol/cigarette boy.

ok, i didnt say that part, but i very politely said, yeah, i think i am good.....

then, he was in UTTER shock that you can burn real wood in the fireplace and HOW

DOES

THAT

WORK???

seriously???

i said, you put wood in, light it and enjoy the fire.

he could NOT believe it. he 'claims' he grew up in the city and never knew/saw a fireplace

before?!?!?

really????

thankfully my friend from work called and talked to me the rest of the time while

the two scary dudes tried to figure out the cable thingy.

i know that i am pms'ing right this second, but i have no tolerance for men right now, let

alone illiterate, stinky, smelly ones.

soooooooo, with that being said,

we have reached the middle of the week already!

remember when i told you that i was excited to go back to work on mondays now?

well, i am just as unexcited for the weekends to get here. it's like i am faced with

panic.

anxiety.

feelings of being completely scared.

dumb, eh?!?

one would think that a girl as myself, who has,  in the past been so self assured, so confident, so many things,

is

now

afraid

of

what

her future

will

bring.

so the anticipation of the weekend would have been exciting and i literally lived for friday to get here.

now, because i am ALONE, i hit panic mode as we draw nearer to friday.

what will i do ALL weekend?

now, i must say that my adorable daughters and friends have made sure to keep me busy.

which i am ever so thankful for, because without them in my life,

i would have clearly hit rock bottom~oye. i sound like a drug or alcoholic!!! yikes.

but ALL of my friends have been there to listen, to carry me thru to the next chapter. xoxo.

anywhosies, i obviously have to rebuild myself, my life, my home. so i am working on getting

everything i need. (it is not cheap to buy a whole new house of furnishings)....

and i find that while shopping, EVERYTHING reminds me of JPW and the times we were shopping

to buy things for our home. ugh. does that go away any time soon?

sooooo, my question to you is this:

leather or plush furniture? we had both and while i thought i loved plush, i fell IN LOVE with our

leather. at first i thought leather was manly and bachelorish....(i know that is not a word)...

(lol...maybe when he wanted leather furniture, i should have read between the lines....)

i always look at 'signs'.....i definitely think when he painted the 'office' navy blue, and i asked why he chose

that color and he said because it was 'manly'....that we were on the downside of the

relationship....) ok, sorry....remember this is my venting ground.

back to leather or plush....

hello there bloggie friends!

normally i am dreading monday morning with a big frown.

i hated getting back to the work week.

however, since my 'new' life has unveiled itself, i have a whole new outlook.

on life. work. friends. fun.

i look forward to going into the office. it's a sense of familiarity that i have come to know.

i see my therapists, friends.

who i might mention have been the most supportive. i mean

it is not fun listening to a sad girl every FLIPPING day.

i am so grateful to have a lucrative profession. well grateful to have a job. period.

so. what i am saying is that thru ups and downs of life, i think

we

have

to

realize

that

through

EVERY

valley in life,

we can

SEE

a

POSITIVE

change.

i am trying to be a positive girl. i am currently starting each day with a prayer, thanking

god for giving me all that i am blessed with.

i also start out each day reading a page of the book, UNTIL TODAY. it is amazing.

i dont care who you are, what you do, or where you are in your life. everyone

can benefit, or pull something out of this book.
